Russell Kosovsky

Software Engineer & AI Researcher

About Me

Recent Connecticut College graduate with a B.A. in Computer Science and a minor in Psychology.

Throughout my time at the Connecticut College Autonomous Agent Learning Laboratory (AALL) under Professor Gary B. Parker, I learned the necessary skills to develop and implement various AI solutions. A significant highlight was my research: Evolving a Shogi Evaluation Function Using Genetic Algorithms, which I published and presented at the IEEE SMC 2024 conference in Malaysia.

My background in psychology provides a unique perspective on human-computer interaction and AI development. Additionally, my role as a computer science teaching assistant reinforced my fundamental programming skills and elevated my ability to effectively communicate complex technical material.

I'm a dedicated researcher and a proactive team member, qualities also demonstrated by my commitment to my college's club hockey team, which competed at the national championship in 2025.
